WNA COUNCILS

Purpose

WNA Councils are groups of elected and appointed WNA members responsible for advancing the profession of nursing through activities related to their areas of concern.

Composition

Each Council shall consist of six to ten members.  Three of the council members are annually elected from the WNA membership, with the remaining appointed by the WNA Board.  Members will include at least one staff nurse, one advanced practice nurse, one nurse educator and one nurse administrator.

A representative from the Wisconsin Student Nurses Association (WSNA) will be invited to participate on each of the Councils as a non-voting participant.

A consumer will be invited to participate on the Public Policy Council as a non-voting participant.
