The capacity to efficiently, appropriately and safely respond to public health threats such as terrorism and other emergencies will require anticipatory readiness and a response commensurate with professional skills developed and sharpened by education and training. Such training and education must be competency based, progressive, multidisciplinary, sustainable and collaborative.
