REGULATION AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Wisconsin Registered Nurses are licensed by the Board of Nursing through the Department of Regulation and Licensing. The Secretary of the Department of Regulation and Licensing is a cabinet position appointed by the Governor.

Information regarding the Board of Nursing can be found on two sections of the Department of Regulation and Licensing website:
- The Health Professions section contains the listing of all the health profession boards, including those licenses and/or certifications for the following nurses: Advanced Practice Nurse Prescribers; Licensed Practical Nurses; Nurse Midwife; and Registered Nurses.
