The WINPAC Board of Trustees would like you to meet the nurse candidates to learn why they are running and what they would like to see accomplished for nursing and health care in Wisconsin during the next legislative biennium.
MEET THE CANDIDATES:
Mitchell Berman, BSN, RN, CEN
Candidate for Congress, 1
st District
With more than 23 years of experience in healthcare, Mitchell is a registered nurse who has spent over a decade serving veterans, active duty servicemembers, and their families at the VA. Mitchell continues to serve as a board certified emergency nurse and is no stranger to high-stakes situations – he’s trained to think clearly under pressure, solve complex problems quickly, and deliver compassionate care when it matters most. Lieutenant Governor, Sara Rodriguez, RN, MPHN
Candidate for Governor
Sara was a co-sponsor of the APRN Modernization Act that was introduced last session. Sara is a registered nurse and an experienced healthcare executive who has worked in a variety of leadership roles for over 20 years including recently founding a healthcare consulting firm. Sara is a Wisconsin native she received her Master’s in Public Health and Masters in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University. You can learn more about Sara by going to:

State Senator Rachael Cabral-Guevara, RN, FNP, APNP
Candidate for the 19th Senate District
Rachael was the author of the APRN Modernization Act. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber since 2008. Rachael has years of experience working in primary care throughout Wisconsin. She has practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner within a community health center, student health center, and urgent care clinic. Terri Wenkman, BSN, RN
Candidate for the 38th Assembly District
Terri Wenkman is a mom, wife, daughter and registered nurse. She attended the University of Minnesota, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Social Science.
