NFW Scholarship

The NFW Educational Scholarship Committee selected two WNA members to receive $1,000 each to support their educational goals. The recipients are as follows:

 

Stacey Stephens, Mdiv, BSN, RN, is from Cadott and is currently enrolled in a DNP at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. She is a graduate assistant for the College of Nursing and a staff nurse at Dove Healthcare – Wissota Health & Regional Vent Center. Stacey is pursuing a DNP in clinical adult and gerontology which she will use in her role as a nurse educator.

 

 

 

 

 

Abby Hammes, MSN, RN, BC, is from Madison and is currently enrolled in the Nursing PhD program in Policy and Leadership at University of Wisconsin – Madison.  She is currently a teaching assistant for the School of Nursing.

 

 

 

 

 

Nurses Foundation of Wisconsin Announces Educational Scholarship Award Application

The NFW Board of Directors is pleased to announce the availability of educational scholarship awards for nurses interested in pursuing a BSN Completion Degree or other Master’s Degree in Nursing.  The application deadline for the 2021 scholarship has passed. The application deadline is January 15, 2023.

NFW Research Grants

 

The 2021 NFW Research Grant Awardee is Kathleen Elertson, MSN, RN, DNP, APNP.  Dr. Elertson is from West Bend and is the Interim Director of Post-Licensure Program, for University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. Her research project title is Evaluation of Simulation Training on Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment for Adolescent Substance Abuse in Pre and Post Licensure Nursing Programs.  NFW awarded Dr. Elertson $1,000 to support her research.

 

 

 

 

NFW Accepting Applications for Research or Quality Improvement Project Grants

The Nurses Foundation of Wisconsin Board of Directors has designated $5000 available for 2-3 individual grants for Grant Research (up to $2500 for each grant based on number of approved applicants) . Award amounts will vary depending on the project or study. Applications will be accepted until January 15, 2023. Click here for more information and to apply.

Mary Barker APRN Nursing Scholarship – 2023 Application

This scholarship is for nurses currently enrolled in or about to begin graduate school. Up to four scholarships are awarded annually at a max of $2,000 each.

The WNA Nurse Practitioner Forum and the Nurses Foundation of Wisconsin are seeking applicants for the Mary Barker APRN Scholarship.
Up to four scholarships are awarded annually (at a maximum of $2,000).
This opportunity is available to WNA members only.
The successful candidate is pursuing a graduate degree with preparation as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in one of the four APRN practice roles: Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), or Nurse Practitioner (NP), or is currently an APRN in one of the four APRN practice roles, and is pursuing an advanced degree.

ANCC Multi-Site Research Playbook

The ANCC Multi-Site Research Playbook is intended to serve as a resource for nurses desiring to design and lead multi-site research studies, particularly more novice researchers.
