WNA’s 2022 Nurses Day at the Capitol will inform participants of the national and state health policy issues that impact nursing practice, education, and health care delivery. Each participant will be prepared to meet with their legislators to discuss these issues. Student nurses as well as experienced RNs and APRNs are encouraged to attend!

The Future of Nursing: Leadership, Advocacy and Activism in Action
Ernest Grant, PhD, RN, FAAN - President of the American Nurses Association

While fighting a global pandemic, nurses are providing expert, compassionate care, leading by example, shaping health care policy and advocating for resources. As the American Nurses Association (ANA) President Dr. Ernest Grant will explore how ANA has adapted its professional and legislative advocacy efforts and initiatives to improve nursing policy, practice and patient outcomes in these challenging and momentous times.  (Dr. Grant joining remotely.)

COVID-19 Information: WNA requires ALL attendees to have available for staff review prior to entering the conference space: 1) documentation of COVID-19 vaccination along with your state ID, or 2) a negative PCR test result within 72 hours. Pursuant to the current Dane County Health Department Emergency Order, we will require masks to be worn by all attendees when inside the Monona Terrace.

Non Member = $50.00
WNA Member = $35.00
Student Nurse = $25.00

Continental Breakfast will be provided. Lunch is on your own.
