The rapidly emerging field of precision health and genomics requires new sets of nursing knowledge and skills. The need for professional nurses to be engaged in patient education, nursing education, practice, and research are examples of the needed immediate roles. Are you ready?

This webinar will serve as a follow-up to the 2021 event, which introduced viewers to Multi-cancer Early Detection (MCED) technology and the access barriers that currently exist.  This year, nurse practitioner Stephanie Hayes will discuss the focus of genetic cancer risk assessments and review case studies to show the impact that testing and management can have for patients across the spectrum of cancer care.  Dr. Whitney Jones will re-introduce viewers to MCED and provide an update based on the most recent clinical developments in MCED, including an overview of how MCED screenings can be integrated into existing clinical workflows. Viewers will also learn about current legislative efforts to improve MCED access from Matt Sturm, Senior Director of Government Affairs and Alliance Development at GRAIL, a company focused on alleviating the global burden of cancer by developing pioneering technology to detect and identify multiple deadly cancer types.
