Nurse Leadership Academy

The Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Leaders (WONL) and Wisconsin Nurses Association (WNA) have proudly collaborated to offer the WONL Nurse Leadership Academy for our nursing leaders of tomorrow. Read more about this innovative program in the JONA article by Joan Ellis Beglinger or the NLA Brochure produced by the Wisconsin Center for Nursing.

All RN candidates for the NLA must be nominated by the Chief Nursing Officer of their employing organization. Staff nurses aspiring to be nurse leaders and new managers from diverse practice environments are welcome to apply.
Each NLA program consists of 2 on-site conference days followed by 1 additional on-site conference day six weeks later.  Participants must also complete assigned pre-work, conduct a personal ‘project’ at their workplace between class dates, and present the results of their project when returning on Day 3.
