The prevalence of human trafficking in Wisconsin remains persistent and requires nurse awareness and knowledge of how to respond.
This presentation will:
- Support an understanding of the incidence and prevalence of human trafficking.
- Identify the factors that impact the vulnerability of patients being targeted for sexual abuse and human trafficking.
- Learn and understand the warning signs and how to identify human trafficking from other forms of abuse.
- Describe the best practices for improving nursing care provided to this population.
