WNA’s Board of Directors approved the WNA Legislative and Regulatory Agenda for the 2019 – 2020 Biennium. This agenda provides information on WNA’s position on a variety of policies that support safe and quality patient care provided by RNs.
WNA’s top four legislative priorities for the next biennium are:
• Passage of the APRN Modernization Act
• Workplace Violence against Nurses will extend the criminal penalty for battery to a nurse to all practice settings.
• Fund initiatives to Increase the Supply of Nurse Faculty
• Preserve the Nursing Workforce Survey to Support the Supply of Nurses
