Join Environmental Health Nurses, Nursing Faculty, and Public Health experts for a discussion on how climate impacts the health of communities in rural and urban Wisconsin and mitigating actions that nurses and practitioners can take right now.

Jeneile Luebke, PhD, RN
Assistant Professor, University of Wisconsin-Madison
Dr. Luebke will address the relationship between planetary health, climate justice, and land-based healing, particularly as they relate to the lived experiences of Indigenous peoples.


Lillian Jensen, MN, RN, CNL, NPD-BC
Member, Healthy Climate Wisconsin; Speaker, ANHE
Lillian will address how climate change impacts the health of residents of Milwaukee county and surrounding areas. Specifically, Lillian will address the health impacts of extreme heat and extreme weather events such as flooding and poor air quality.


Alex Dudek, BSN, RN 
Graduate Student Assistant, UW-Madison; ANHE Fellow
Alex will address climate change and health from the perspective of an inpatient critical care nurse. They are currently pursuing their Masters in Public Health with an interest in how climate change and other environmental issues unjustly impact the health of patients and communities.


Cameron Kiersch, DNP, RN
Associate Professor, Viterbo University
Dr. Kiersch utilizes a systems-thinking approach to prepare future nurses to lead interprofessional teams in the pursuit of solving complex problems like climate change and health inequity. He will address climate integration into nursing curriculum.
