The Wisconsin Nurses Association joins the nursing community in remembering Dr. Barbara Nichols, DNSc (hon), MS, RN, FAAN, a pioneering nurse leader whose impact on the nursing profession, health equity, leadership, and global health continues to inspire generations of nurses. Dr. Nichols passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 88.
