As the RN license renewal window closes at the end of February, the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) has shared an important update for license holders.
Due to nationwide vendor connectivity issues, DSPS call center phone lines have intermittently experienced disruptions over the past week. As of this morning, calls appear to be functioning normally. However, if you are unable to reach the DSPS call center by phone and have questions about your renewal, you may submit a support ticket through the LicensE portal.
To submit a ticket:
- Enter your personal information in the required field.
- Describe the issue you are experiencing.
- Submit for review by DSPS staff.
The good news: The vast majority of Wisconsin RNs have already completed their renewal.
If you have not yet renewed, we encourage you to complete your renewal before the window closes at the end of the month to avoid late fees or credential lapses.
